The Bozovian Blame Game
In yet another sign that the Obama administration is begin to unravel, the former rookie senator from the corrupt state of Illannoy, lacking any real solid solutions to the economic situation, is, at every opportunity, pointing the finger of blame at his predecessor, George W. Bush.
First off, Why? He's only been in office a couple of months. I don't think anyone actually believes this whole economic mess is his doing. This is all the result of mistakes made by past administrations (yes - that's plural) and the fact that the economy has always been a roller coaster ride. What goes up, comes down. That's why investing comes with big risk AND big rewards. So, why point the finger of blame (unless you have something hide). Could it be he's just in way over his head? Well, if you can't handle the job, pack your bags and let someone in there who can. This is just not behavior befitting The President Of The United States. If he thinks it's tough now, wait till this summer. Read the whole story.
So what does George W. have to say about all this? Apparently, nothing. In fact, when asked recently to comment on the new administration, he simply said that it would it not be in the national interest of the country for him to so—pretty classy, if you ask me. Dick Cheney, on the other hand, has been responding to Obama's allegations and, in doing so, pointed out—and rightfully so—that it was Democratic Sen. Chris Dodd (Conn.) and Rep. Barney Frank D-Mass., along with Democratic allies in Congress that blocked key reforms to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac sought by the Bush administration).
But to sum it up, first it was Clinton saying it wasn't his fault (although there's more than enough proof that shows he certainly had a hand in it), and now Cheney is saying it wasn't his... er Bush's fault (ditto). What about Congress and the Federal Reserve? How come they're getting a free pass on this? On the one hand, they all want us taxpayers to take responsibility for our actions, yet when the chips hit the fan on their end, they are so out of touch with reality that they don't even realize that their actions do have consequences that effect people.
