More Politicians For The People

Election results for the late Ted Kennedy's Seat in the Senate. I was
overjoyed initially by Scott Brown's win over his supposed "shoe-in" Liberal
Democratic opponent,
but even more so by the fact that his victory was what
will HOPEFULLY become a common place occurrence in the near future.
I truly believe that the fact that things happened in Massachusetts, which
has become completely associated with the overall control of Democratic
Party liberals, should present a dark cloud on the Democrat's horizons and a
blazing ray of strength upon the rising sun of the true desires of the
across-the-board, rank & file American Citizens...regardless of the "Good
Ol' Boy" party affiliations. Brown, albeit a registered Republican,
campaigned and won his Senatorial Seat as the result of having both run and
won his campaign as an Independent...his winning being the results of votes
by THE PEOPLE who voted for his representation and not just those blindly
affiliated with either Party.
Scott Brown's victory is a welcomed victory within the current "Good Ol' Boy"
American Political System and hopefully will be the Guiding Light for the
rest of the United States of America to follow suit and rid the current
system of those who've over the years managed to conveniently forget and
disregard the fact that they were elected by their districts to duly
represent the best interests of those who ELECTED THEM, and NOT the group of incumbents whom they met after having been elected into their various
offices.
I saw last night the results of Scott Brown's win of the open Senatorial Seat
in Massachusetts being much more significant than the Democratic Liberal
strongholds blind-sheep, ass-kissing MSNBC's whining and meaningless attempt
to belittle the outcome to be. Sen. Brown's victory in Massachusetts in
reality was the Writing on the Wall to all the blindly, closed-minded,
Democratic Party affiliates that their days may soon be numbered...as those
who are TRULY interested in the welfare and well-being of the United States
of AMERICA as opposed to those who's only interests are in support of the
whims and edicts of their party, are hopefully NUMBERED.
Elections are coming up in the not too distant future, and hopefully those
coming up for election will either learn from Brown's Senatorial win in what
was previously conceived as a Democratic bastion or possibly suffer the same
fate and perish in the process...
One can only HOPE...!!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.
If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed.
If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.
If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".
Would You Sign?

What kind of radical nonsense is this? The first portion of this petition was passed out at a History of the Constitution class at Baylor U. The prof asked how many of the students would sign it. They were, for the most part, quite appalled.
Would you sign this petition?
Certain truths are obvious, for example all men are born equal. God then blesses them with specific rights as follows: (1) the right to live, (2) freedom, (3) the privilege to seek happiness. In attempting to obtain these rights, men create governments. The governments then get their power from the people they govern.
We the undersigned accept the above, but in addition we think that when any government stands in the way of these goals, the people have the right to change or destroy it, and to form a new government. The people may ground the new government on such ideas and methods of organization that seems to them the best way of achieving their safety and happiness. Wisdom tells us that our government should not be changed for minor and silly reasons, and history shows that men have always stuck with their form of government as long as they could bear up under the evils forced upon them, instead of seeking their rights by tearing down the government they are used to. But when the people have taken all they can stand and seen their rights denied, with the same thing facing them in the future which can result in nothing more than their complete control by a dictatorship, then it is their right and responsibility to rid themselves of this government and to set up new defenses for the future.
I hereby sign this petition as a statement of principles to which our government should be loyal.

I've been saying for quite a while that it's time to throw the tea into the harbor again... the Washington, DC "Old Boy" system is so firmly entrenched that it really doesn't make any difference which Party is in control, things still continue to go down the tubes regardless!
With lobbyists running around with Carte Blanche freedom...and, despite BO's promises to pull in the reins on them, there are no signs that anything is really chaning! Unfortunately, they are the "legal?" means by which Corporate America and, even worse, foreign big business, can effectively BUY the US Government! Think about it, the lobbyists make LARGE "Campaign Contributions" to our elected officials...using the loop-hole that all "Campaign Contribution" funds which go unused become the property of the receiver thereof. Accordingly, that's why NAFTA is a uni-directional Agreement. It enables Corporate America to relocate all their manufacturing facilities outside of the US and thus enables them to further maximize their profits by taking advantage of cheap, virtually slave, labor. BUT (thanks to the lobbyists) can American's buy their prescription medications FROM Canada, a NAFTA member, at significantly less cost for the same medications than what they cost us here? NO... of course not...because the lobbists from the pharmaceutical companies have used their $$$ influence to make that illegal. So, who gets the shaft? Yup, you & I, and all the rest of the American tax-paying Citizens! The exorbitant, and ever increasing, cost of Insurance Premiums is being allowed to run unchecked by the gov't with the burden falling upon the rank & file American. It's OK with our elected officials—they're immune because they've got their own gov't-backed benefits programs for life after they get elected. So, effectively, the US Government—which is defined to be "...Of the People, By the People and For the People—is actually a bunch of CRAP! We're being SCHMOOZED into thinking that we're able to control our gov't by being allowed to vote, but regardless of whom we elect...NOTHING CHANGES, or at least not Positively so?

Anyone who doesn't believe that Big Business controls our gov't is in dire need of a Reality Check! So, as stated earlier, it's time to throw the tea in the harbor, pull the handle on the Washington, DC, toilet and flush 'em all right down into the sewer. Let's elect a completely new contingent of gov't officials who are truly focused on what's in the best interests of the American Citizen—not just the miniscule handful which unfortunately are able to legislate and control what happens to the rest of us!
Subsequently, we need to make all attempts by lobbists to BUY what is in the BEST INTERESTS of those they represent guilty of attempting to bribe government officials. Make that a Capital Offense with the penalty for which is to be immediately taken out, lined up against the wall and SHOT so that the Lawyers and Judges can't drag out their sentences for years in the legal system at the tax-payer's expense! After one or two examples, that should put a stop to Lobbiest's in real short order, eh? OK, 'nuf said... I'll relinquish the Soap Box to the next person with an opinion! - Bob in Ohio
