Help!
Things are happening so fast and furiously in Washington, DC, that a body can barely keep up. As much as I used to love to poke fun at the do-nothing members of the House and Senate, I've now learned that it would have been better to let sleeping dogs lie.

Well aware of what will happen to them if Principal Obama catches them napping, the elected elite will stop at nothing to look busy. And when the principal hands out an assignment, you can bet that Polosi, Reid, Dowd, Frank, Shumer and the rest will come runnin', wagging their little tails to score points with the new messiah.
Fortunately, more and more Americans are beginning to see this for what it is, a carefully crafted power play orchestrated by, and for the benefit of, the liberal left. It's all about power, and nothing more.
So what's next? Healthcare, and it's deja vu all over again. The last time this subject came up, Bill Clinton was in the White House and Hilliary Clinton was President, unofficially. Bill knew this health care idea wasn't going to fly, so rather than take the political hit, he handed it off to Hilliary. As he expected, It went down like a lead weight, and it is still a sore spot on Hillary's long list of political gaffs and flops.
Obama is now doing the same thing Bill did by handing the ball to House Speaker, Nancy Polosi. The Fresh Prince of Pennsylvania Ave knows better than to try to run this one across the line himself. He could get dirty and for what—House Speakers are a dime a dozen. If someone ends up under the bus—let it be P. For once, I agree with his greatness. And it will happen, you wait and see. To make it happen, more and more Americans need to understand what Obama's Universal Health Care is all about. If you have any friends in Canada, then I'm certain you've gotten an earful or two about how their system does or doesn't work and why, when they really need a doctor, they'd sooner swim Superior than wait at a clinic in Canada.
Canada's system, as you would expect, is modeled after the one in Great Britain. So regardless of how hard the liberals here try to convince us otherwise, any system that pours from the pen of Polosi will be simply a modified version of UK Kare. Which brings us to this satirical look at Universal Health Care, British style. The attached video clip, "Mr. Bean Goes To The Clinic," stars Rowan Atkinson. This aired in the UK (and on NPR in this country) in the late 1980s. While I had not seen this in several years, I happened upon it the other night and watched from the perspective of someone who soon may find our friendly family physician has been replaced by this cold, "take-a-number," system that treats everyone equally—like dirt. I once found this sketch really funny. Now I find it quite frightening. Enjoy!
